"DSS Detains Wale Adedayo, Suspended Ogun LG Chairman Accusing Abiodun of Fund Diversion"

On Friday, the Department of State Security (DSS) in Ogun State detained Wale Adedayo, the suspended chairman of Ijebu East Local Government Area, in connection with allegations of diverting council allocations and implicating Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Adedayo had previously accused the governor of withholding local government funds for the past two years. He had been summoned to the DSS Abeokuta office to respond to these allegations and had also visited the DSS office on Thursday regarding the same matter. However, he was detained on Friday.

One of Adedayo's aides reported that he might potentially spend the weekend in custody. The aide explained that they had both arrived at the DSS office together, but Adedayo was not allowed to leave the premises. The aide expressed concern about his boss's situation, noting that it was already 8:34 pm and he had not been released.
